DANCE FESTIVALS / COMPETITIONS
We are a Ukrainian Dance Festival with the goal of growing over time to include many types of cultural dance. At our unique festival we are planning a Family Social, workshops appropriate for Dancers and Instructors, a Sunday Showcase featuring selections chosen from the Festival as well as a special dance performance!
Tanya Pattullo, Patron Services Manager
The Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival strives to create an experience that will allow dancers and instructors to grow and develop under the constructive criticism of our accomplished adjudicator, while having the opportunity to perform for an audience in a theatre atmosphere. The Festival will be conducted in a professional manner where all aspects of theatre etiquette will be applied to the dancers’ onstage performance, backstage organization and audience members.
Saturday evening of the Festival concludes with our Showcase Performance, which is open to the public. The Showcase gives award winning performers from the Festival an opportunity to dance again, and accept their awards and scholarships. The Showcase performance includes the highly anticipated Hopak competition during its second half. For ticket information, please contact email@example.com

Why come to the Tavria festival? Well for one, we tried something new and it was so well received that we just have to do it again. Each performance will be videoed to allow dancers and instructors the benefit of both vocal and visual adjudication, eliminating the need to determine where you are in the dance while reviewing only audio adjudication. Each school will receive a USB stick with all of their performances allowing you the opportunity to polish and clean your dances before the next festival.
To register for the Tavria Festival, please email all forms to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entry fees are accepted by certified cheque or money order and can be mailed to:
